PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT OF A NEW ECAS REPORT ON LABOUR

This new report, one year after Bulgaria and Romania joined the EU, will be presented on Tuesday 15 January at 3.00 p.m. in the European Parliament in STRASBOURG (Strasbourg Room S2.2) at a meeting hosted by Jean Lambert, MEP. Journalists present at the European Parliament's session are welcome to attend.
At the same time there will be:
in SOFIA: report release and press conference by IAPUE – Peaceful and United Europe International Association at 11.00 a.m. at Sofia Press Center (29 Slavyanska Str, 1000 Sofia),
in BUCHAREST: report and press release at 3.00 p.m. by NACAB - National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux in Romania,
in BRUSSELS: report and press release at 3.00 p.m. by European Citizen Action Service.
The report concerns the latest enlargement but will contain also an up-date on the impact of the 2004 enlargement on free movement of persons. The attached announcement of the report should give you an idea of the general conclusions the report is likely to contain.
Apart from the discussion with MEPs in Strasbourg, press conferences and releases, the report will be published on the ECAS website and those of our partners in Bulgaria and Romania from 3.00 p.m. on Tuesday 15 January. Hard copies will also be available at the addresses below from 3.00 p.m.
